DAY AT FOXHILLS FOR NEVILLE BRADSHAW
29 April 2013
Published with Permission
We had the 2nd round of the British Masters at Foxhills near Swindon
this weekend. The classes were more stacked than usual with all
the top teams using it as practise for the British championship
later in the year. The track was in prime condition. I decided to
race the mx1 class also to get more track time. I did some suspension
testing with the team in week, and we came up with a good setting
and was I feeling a lot better on the bike.
Qualifying was steady and I ended up 4th quickest in both classes.
First up was the first mx1 race, and I pulled a massive holeshot
on the big Honda 450. I lead for about 4 laps, and Whatley and Anderson
got by, I kept a good pace going and managed to finish the race
in 2nd behind Whately. The first mx2 race, and I got and average
start in 6th and worked my way forward, 3 laps in I was 3rd and
working on catching the leaders. I got by McKenzie with about 5
laps to, but couldn’t bridge the gap up to Irwin and ended
the race 2nd.
The 2nd 450 race and I got another awesome start. The mx1 regulars
Anderson and Whately got around on the first lap, but I rode a strong
race and managed to come home 3rd, and clinch 2nd overall. The 2nd
250 race was amazing, I managed to grab another holeshot, and we
had a great 4 way battle for the lead with Mackenzie, Irwin and
Watson. 20 min in, I managed to get some breathing room, go on and
take the race win, and the overall.

It was a good day to come away 2nd overall in mx1 and take the

at Milton Malsor in a fort nights time.
