RACE REPORT: BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP
MILTON PARK - NEVILLE BRADSHAW

We had round 4 of the British championship at the short stadium
styled Milton park circuit in Northampton this weekend. The weather
started out great but the forecast rain soon moved around 1pm to
make track conditions on the hard pack circuit really tricky.
Qualifying went okay, the track started off pretty wet, I managed
to post the 7th quickest time, enough to go through to super pole.
Super pole went great I managed a great lap. And went fastest, so
had first gate pick for all the races.
I had a great start in race 1 and had moved into 2nd by lap 2, I
stayed there for the first half of the race, halfway through I tightened
up and suffered terrible arm pump and dropped back to 5th at the
line, so was really disappointed with the race.
Race 2 I had a decent start just outside the top 5. I worked my
way up to 4th and caught 3rd place guy Bryan Mackenzie in the last
2 laps but couldn’t make the pass and ended up 4th.
With all the rain between races I knew a good start was crucial.
I got an awesome holeshot in race 3 and led it for a few laps, but
tightened up again and ended the race third behind Banks Browne
and Lenoir.
I finished 4th overall on the day just one point away from a podium.
Overall I wasn’t too happy with the day, and will try making
a few changes so that I don’t tighten up. On a positive note,
I got pole in qualifying, my bike was great out the gate with 3
solid starts, and I have moved into 3rd place in the British championship.
Overall on day: championship
1 Elliot banks Browne 1 Elliot banks Browne
2 Steven Lenoir 2 Steven Lenoir
3 Steven Clarke 3 Neville Bradshaw
4 Neville Bradshaw 4 Graeme Irwin
5 Bryan Mackenzie 5 Nathan Watson
