The Diamonds & Dirt initiative under MX SA has become the talking point of all ladies in off road and MX riding. The ladies only events have gained momentum and now after round 2, we can safely say the series is here to stay. Diamonds & Dirt have formed great partnerships with Works Connection, Monster Energy and Full Throttle and with 21 ladies at Round 2, it won't be long before we have secured a series sponsor and take this event to another level.

Dirt Bronco has been very active in assisting with the ladies days and this has been part of the great success.

For the first time, we ran our intended 4 classes, which were Juniors, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Each class had a competitive number of ladies that made it loads of fun for all of them. Both our Junior and Beginners class saw some absolute beginners who clearly surprised themselves in what they were able to achieve.

The Juniors wait patiently for their turn.

Brittany Cuthbert made a welcome return to MX and she was the guest rider of the day, winning the Advanced Class. Brittany is a great role model for the new ladies and takes her MX seriously. MXSA really appreciates the input from the top lady riders.

Toni Jardine is also an icon in the ladies off road riding fraternity as the first lady to complete the Roof of Africa. Toni was there all day to support the ladies and offer advice.
The aim of the series is to offer a platform for ladies to enter the world of motocross in a less intimidating environment than regionals or nationals. Round 2 saw as many as 5 riders ride their first ever race of any sorts and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Diamonds & Dirt hope to grow the entries to around 50 ladies or more and with the help of a series sponsor, we are certain we can.

Below are the results from the day!

The next race is on the Sunday 15th of September.

Look out for more Diamonds & Dirt training days, as well as our trip to KZN at the beginning of July for some MX and Enduro training.
