MIDAS, RAD Moto and Vision Racing Report by Geoff Kruger

The NORTH vs SOUTH Interprovincial Challenge event was recently held at the Bloemfontein Off- Road Club. A total of around 250 ENTRIES were received for this event. Numbers that motocross in South Africa has not seen in some 15 years! There was an awesome ATMOSPHERE and VIBE around this event and the weekend’s activity was held in the true spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship.

A big THANK YOU to Anton and Choppie who put in so much effort to ensure the success of this event. As always the Bloemfontein circuit is well prepared, but on this occasion, it was set-up to standards of absolute excellence. “World Class”! - are the words that spring to mind. Well done to all that were involved in organising this event.

The Team Review – MIDAS, RAD Moto and Vision Racing
Great results for our team with TWO of our Riders featuring in podium positions. Well done to little James Thompson for a 2nd overall for the Gauteng Team in the 50cc junior class and well done to Matthew Kruger for a 2nd overall in the 85cc class for the Gauteng team.

Notable Gauteng Riders featuring in the top three in all classes were:
50cc Junior: James Thompson (Vision Racing) 2nd overall
50cc Pro: Jono Mlimi 1st and Camden McClelland 2nd overall
65cc class: Dalton Venter 1st and Camden McClelland 3rd overall
85cc class: Matthew Kruger (RAD Moto, MIDAS, Vision Racing) 2nd overall
Pro Mini: Marcus Phelps 1st , Justin Thompson 2nd and Josh Mlimi 3rd overall
125 High school: Nic Phelps 3rd overall
MX 1: Richie Vd Westhuizen 1st and Sashe Naude 2nd overall
MX 2: Richie Vd Westhuizen 1st overall
MX 3: Geoff Den 1st overall
MX 4: Brittany Cuthbert 1st and Amy Lee Sawyer 2nd overall
