Race Recaps:
MSA National at Thunder Valley, Pietermaritzburg (5 July)
The day didn't start out well for Jason as he onlyI qualified
3rd, he knew he had to step up his game in the race.
Heat 1.
Jason was 4th after the 1st lap but worked his way through the pack
and got to 1st by about the 4th lap. He thought he was ok and then
Reid passed him. Although his pace wasn't what it should be he managed
a solid second.
Heat 2.
He went into the lead but again was passed by Reid and he again
managed a 2nd and a 2nd overall for the day. He battled to find
his rhythm throughout the day and is happy with his result. His
team mate Charl managed a 3rd overall for they.
His younger team mate Slade Smith and got a solid 1st and 3rd in
his two respective classes.
Again Husqvarna proved its worth and the riders are feeling very
comfortable on that podium!
WOMZA National at Teza, KZN (14-15
June)
Jason continued his great year with three podiums and the
overall win in the 125cc Junior class.
WOMZA National at Melkbos, Cape
Town (19-20 April)
Jason qualified first and won the first heat. He came in
second in the second heat and won the third heat which gave him
a first overall for the weekend and the points lead going into round
3 at Teza in June.
MSA National at Zone 7, Cape Town
(18 April)
Jason qualified first. In the first heat he jumped into the
start gate which left him stone last. He then caught up to 7th place
where someone rode into him and he crashed again. Again he had to
pick the bike up and again had to chase from stone last. He caught
all the way up to 3rd place.
In the second heat he won which gave me a second overall for the
day. Jason sits second in the points heading into the third round
at Springfield in May.
