Race Report - The MSA Northern Regions MX Championship - Round 3
Dirt Bronco -9 May 2015

Slade had a great day’s racing on his 85cc and 125cc Husqvarna’s. He managed 2 out of 3 holeshots in the Pro Mini Class, and secured all 3 heat wins.
In the 125 High School Class he achieved a 4th and two 5ths, giving him 5th overall for the day, against some tough competition.
Husqvarna had an outstanding day with 3 top of the podiums, Slade – Pro Mini, Charl Van Eeden – 125 High School and Jason Visser – MX2.
We look forward to the next race which is our National in PE on the 30th May.
Huge thanks to my Dad, Fred from Husqvarna, Morne Visser, Brode from Fox, Pirelli, 32GI, FMF, Bel Ray.

Race Report - The Monster Energy SA MX Nationals - Round 2
Zone 7, Cape Town - 11 April 2015

Slade has been having some very bad luck of late with his 85cc Husqvarna’s. He had an average start in Heat 1 of the Pro Mini Class, and managed a third. Unfortunately he had an electrical problem on the line of Heat 2, and got left standing on the start line. He finally managed to get going, but the power came and went throughout the whole race, so Slade had no choice but to circulate for points and only managed a 7th in Heat 2, giving him a 5th overall for the day. Extremely disappointing.

We look forward to the next National in PE on the 30th May, and also hope our bad luck is now finally over.
Huge thanks to my Dad, Fred from Husqvarna, Morne Visser, Brode from Fox, Pirelli, 32GI, FMF, Bel Ray.

Race Report - The MSA Northern Regions MX Championship - Round 2
Syringa - 21 March 2015

At the 2nd Round of the MSA Regional Championship, held at the iconic Syringa race circuit, Slade had a mixed bag of results.

The 1st heat of the Pro Mini / 85cc Combined Class, saw Slade with a mid pack start but he soon progressed to 2nd place, stayed there for a lap and then took a gap that was left wide open, into the lead and pulled away from the rest of the field to take the win.

In the 2nd heat, Slade got the holeshot and raced away to victory by a substantial margin.

Race 3 had Slade far back in the pack on the start, and he again quickly sliced through the other competitors, and was soon in second place. He tried to go for the win but an unfortunate fall left him in second place, but a clear winner of the class for the day.

In the 1st heat of the 125 High School Class, Slade got an excellent start and was lying third to Joshua Mlimi who had some mechanical problem putting Slade into 2nd behind his team mate Charl Van Eeden, who then fell and put Slade in to 1st. He lead for most of the race but was passed on the last lap by Charl, Slade repassed him, but that was short lived, and Charl passed him again and Slade finished just behind him to take an excellent 2nd place.

Slade had another fantastic start in the 2nd heat and was lying 2nd until Joshua passed him. Slade tried to go back up the inside of Josh in a tight left, but unfortunately lost the front and fell. He was in last place once he got up and got the bike going again, and finished 7th.

The last heat of the 125’s had Slade mid pack in the start, but he soon pulled himself into 3rd, but managed to fall in the same corner as the previous heat, and that dropped him to last again. He managed to pull back up to 6th place by the end of the heat, and finished with a credible 5th overall for the day in the 125 Class.

Onwards and upwards to our next meeting, Round 2 of the MSA National Championship at Zone 7 in Cape Town on the 11th of April.

Huge thanks to my Dad, Fred from Husqvarna, Morne Visser, Brode from Fox, Pirelli, 32GI, FMF, Bel Ray.

Harrismith - 28 February 2015

After having a phenomenal weekend at the Regional Race last weekend in Harrismith, winning the Pro Mini Class with ease and managing an awesome 3rd overall finish in the 125cc High School Class, we arrived on Saturday morning for the National in Harrismith with high hopes of a really good day with the best results.
After posting the fastest time in practice in Pro Mini, I was looking forward to a great day’s result, but it wasn’t to be. After holeshotting, I had a mechanical failure in Heat 1 of the Pro Mini Class, and I managed to hold on to 2nd place.
I jumped on my spare bike for Heat 2, and after getting a really bad start, I fought my way through the pack to 2nd position and was confident that I could easily pass into 1st, and then I had a really unfortunate big crash, and had to get back on, I had two more falls and ended up in a disappointing 5th place in Heat 2, giving me a 3rd overall for the day.
I now look forward to the next National in Cape Town in April.
Huge thanks to my Dad, Fred from Husqvarna, Morne Visser, Brode from Fox, Pirelli, 32GI, FMF, Bel Ray.

Race Report - The MSA KZN MX Championship - Round 2
Harrismith - 22 February 2015

My Dad decided to take me to Harrismith for the Regional Race, in preparation for the upcoming National to be held at Holeshot Harry’s this weekend.
I started out getting the holeshot in Heat 1 of the 125cc Class, which was awesome for me, being so new in that Class, and riding against my older competitors. I lead for half the race, then an unfortunate mistake in a berm, lost me my lead. I ended up 4th after catching up and passing a number of guys in that heat.
I then went out in the Pro Mini Class and had a great time and won that race.
Then it was the 2nd heat of the 125cc Class, and although I was left on the start because when the gate dropped my bike was in neutral, I stayed consistent throughout and passed all the way up to 4th in that heat giving me 3rd overall for the day, it was a great achievement for me.
I won the 2nd heat of the Pro Mini Class, winning the overall for the day.
Huge thanks to my Dad, Fred from Husqvarna, Morne Visser, Brode from Fox, Pirelli, 32GI, FMF, Bel Ray.

Race Report - The MSA Northern Regions MX Championship - Round 1
Terra Topia - 7 February 2015

I had a mixed day of results. I was looking so forward to getting out on my 125cc Husqvarna and mixing it up with the older boys.
I managed a 7th, and a 6th in the two 125cc heats, giving me an overall 7th for the day. Unfortunately our 3rd and last heat was cancelled due to rain.
In the Pro Mini Class I lead Heat 1 for most of the race, but a silly mistake allowed Durow through and I ended up with a 2nd, then I had an unfortunate puncture in heat 2 while leading the race convincingly, and ended up circulating for a 7th, and I finally got my win in the 3rd heat, giving me a 3rd overall for the day.
I look forward to the Pre National KZN Regional in Harrismith on the 22nd of Feb.
Huge thanks to my Dad, Fred from Husqvarna, Morne Visser, Brode from Fox, Pirelli, 32GI, FMF, Bel Ray.
