CHAMPIONSHIP WIN FOR 272

Hey guys. I finally did it! After arriving on English shores in
2004, I finally took my first British championship win at Foxhills
Motopark in Swindon on Sunday!
They had slightly revamped the famous Foxhills circuit, cutting
out a few of the loops at the top of the hills, nonetheless the
track was immaculately prepared, and the sun was shining so we were
set for a good weekends racing. There was also a few wildcards that
had come from the GP series to mix things up a bit.
In qualifying the track started off really wet. I got held up on
my last flying lap, and ended the session in 9th. Enough to transfer
into the super pole session. In super pole I tried carrying all
the outside lines, but that seemed to be slower and ended that in
9th again.
Race 1 I pulled a massive holeshot,
and lead the race for the first 10 minutes, I was having a great
race with Elliot banks Browne and Australian wild card Dean Ferris.
I tightened up a bit in the middle and they got by me, but managed
to stay close for 3rd.
Race 2 I got another great
start and moved into 2nd on lap one. I had a great battle with Bryan
Mackenzie for the first half. I made a mistake going around a lapper
and Steven Clarke got by, I stuck on the back of him and we both
got passed Bryan with a few laps to go, and we duked it out for
the win, it was a real intense race with Steven Lenoir moving into
3rd making it a 3 way battle for the win. I ended that one in 2nd.
Race 3 and it was the super
final race. The top 20 mx1 and top 20 mx2 race together for a 25min+2
lap race. Going into the race I was leading the mx2 class in points,
and knew I had to beat Clarke and Lenoir to take the win. I got
another decent start against the bigger bikes, and had a great race
with Dean Ferris all moto. I ended the race 7th out right, and 2nd
mx2 rider. It was enough for my first overall win.
Not only did I win my first British championship
race, but we also had our first kid at 4:14am on Saturday morning.
Tatum Bradshaw is here! So all in all an amazing weekend.
I want to give a massive thank you to everyone in my team, they
have given me an amazing bike, and I love going racing every weekend.
We have also moved up to joint 2nd in the British championship with
3 rounds left to run. Once again thanks to everyone for the support!
I’m going to start doing a monthly catch up, instead of after
every race.
